VANCOUVER, BC - Ali Adnan and Tosaint Ricketts were named to the MLS Team of the Week following their performances in the 1-0 victory over LA Galaxy on Saturday, the league announced on Monday.
Adnan and Ricketts offensive play was key to the victory, as Adnan smartly got past a challenge near the left side of the Galaxy box and set-up Ricketts game-winning goal in the 74th minute of the match.
Adnan's assist capped off a performance that included a team-high 76 touches and he also created two chances throughout the match. In addition to the goal, Ricketts earned a penalty after being fouled in the box and co-led the team with three shots on the night.
