VANCOUVER, BC - Ali Adnan was named to the MLS Team of the Week following his performance in the 'Caps 2-1 victory over Houston Dynamo on Saturday, the league announced on Monday.
The match looked to be headed to a stalemate in the final minute of regulation time, but Adnan pushed on to keep the late scoring chance alive, connecting with Theo Bair to set up Fredy Montero's dramatic game-winner.
The assist capped off a performance that included 12 duels won and five dribbles completed, both in the top five across MLS for Week 27.
This is Adnan's sixth selection to the weekly league honour. He has a goal and four assists in 26 starts and appearances.
