VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Friday that defender Ali Adnan has joined the Iraq men’s national team for their January camp.
The camp includes a friendly against the United Arab Emirates in Dubai on January 12.
The camp is part of preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification. Iraq sat atop Group C in Round 2 prior to competition coming to a pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Adnan has 58 caps for his national team, scoring six goals, including one in his most recent outing versus Uzbekistan last November.
