VANCOUVER, BC – With less than 40 days until the club kicks off its 40th anniversary, Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today that single match tickets for all 2014 home matches will go on sale to the public this coming Monday, February 3 at 10 a.m. PT. Season ticket holders will have exclusive access to a pre-sale window opening on Friday, January 31 at 10 a.m. PT.

The ‘Caps kick off their fourth season in MLS on Saturday, March 8 at home to reigning MLS Supporters Shield winners New York Red Bulls. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early to ensure their seats at BC Place.
In honour of the club’s 40th anniversary, the Blue and White will host San Jose Earthquakes on May 3, 2014. This anniversary match, presented by Bell, will take place nearly 40 years to the day of the club’s first ever match on May 5, 1974, which was also against the Earthquakes. Further details of the club’s 40th anniversary celebrations will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Vancouver will enter 2014 looking to defend their Cascadia Cup title. Whitecaps FC will host cross-border rivals Seattle Sounders FC on May 24 and July 5, and Portland Timbers on August 30. Young-Pyo Lee fans will want to be at BC Place on March 29 when Whitecaps FC honour the recently retired defender prior to the match against Houston Dynamo. Other games to mark on the calendar include an April 19 encounter against Robbie Keane and the star-studded LA Galaxy, a June 25 clash with Canadian foes Montreal Impact, and an August 10 battle with defending MLS Cup champions Sporting Kansas City.
Whitecaps FC also confirmed today kickoff times and broadcast schedule for the coming season, subject to change. For the first time, every Whitecaps FC MLS match will be broadcast on one network, with 16 matches on TSN, 15 matches on TSN2, and two matches on CTV BC. Broadcast details for the March 16 match at Chivas USA will be confirmed in the coming days.
