This coming weekend, over 100 youth soccer teams will hit the field at Surrey's Newton Athletic Park for the annual Whitecaps FC adidas Cup presented by Sport Chek. Boys and girls in age divisions U-9 to U-12 will be joining the tournament
Teams from across British Columbia and as far as Alberta will play a minimum of four games against teams of similar age and skill level. Each match will be played eight aside with the U-9 and U-10’s playing 25-minute halves and the U-11 and U-12’s playing 30-minute halves.
On Sunday, those at the tournament will have the chance to meet Whitecaps FC players Johnny Leveron and Nicolas Mezquida between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. PT, as well as 'Caps legend Carl Valentine and mascot Spike!
