Vancouver Whitecaps FC will have four of the club’s Pre-Residency players on the 2013 Danone Nations Cup Western Team.
Those players named to the roster are Miles Gailiunas, Eryk Kobza, Nicolas White, and Tristan Torresan. Additionally, Juvraj Kooner was identified for the team after participating in this year’s Whitecaps FC Cup presented by Danone.
Team Canada West will now face Team Canada East on June 22, 2013 at Stade Saputo in Montreal. The winner will represent Canada when the Danone Nations Cup world final kicks off in London, England on September 7, 2013.
The Danone Nations Cup is a yearly international youth football tournament for boys and girls aged 10-12. The competition is made up of 40 national tournaments and a subsequent World Final. Every year 40 teams are qualified to represent their country in the event.
