VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC are pleased to announce the return of the ‘Caps Clearance Sale to BC Place on Saturday, December 14.
The 2013 ’Caps Clearance Sale will offer fans up to 70 per cent off on new, gently-used, and game-worn Whitecaps FC merchandise. In addition, shoppers will also have the chance to purchase items from major international soccer clubs.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to get your holiday shopping done for the soccer fans on your list,” said Rachel Lewis, Whitecaps FC chief operating officer. “Not only will you find merchandise worn by your favourite 'Caps players, but also apparel from other top soccer clubs from around the world. We strongly encourage fans to arrive early in order to find the best selection.”
This year’s sale will be open to the public from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. PT at Gate H. An exclusive pre-sale window will start at 11 a.m., with spots awarded through the ’Caps Card Loyalty Reward program. Season ticket holders will then be granted entrance at 11:30 a.m., followed by access to the general public starting at noon. Payment will be accepted via cash, Visa, MasterCard or debit.
Fans who attend the event will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle ticket to enter to win a game-worn jersey signed by former Whitecaps FC defender and Korean soccer legend Young-Pyo Lee. Proceeds from the raffle will be donated to support holiday cheer at the Canadian Cancer Society Lodge.
