In the latest installment of our "10 questions" series, we sit down with Vancouver Whitecaps FC right back Steven Beitashour to ask all sorts of hard-hitting questions.
1. If you weren’t a soccer player, what would you be?
A dentist.
2. Who would play you in the film of your life?
It has to be Jake Gyllenhaal right? Because he's the Prince of Persia (laughs).
3. What’s the most embarrassing song on your iPod?
Something by the Backstreet Boys.
4. What’s your guilty pleasure?
Eating cheesecake.
5. Do you have any superstitions?
A lot. Like what I eat before games. Especially if we win – then I’ll make sure to eat exactly the same thing. For example, two eggs, sunny side up, on toast, with spinach and tomatoes on it.
6. How do you relax?
That’s an easy one. Play video games. Sit on the recliner, kick my legs out, and throw on some FIFA or Madden.
7. When are you happiest?
There are a lot of times. It’s tough to just pick one. When I’m with my family and friends, when I’m with my wife, when we’re winning. A lot of different things.
8. What’s your greatest fear?
Needles.
- If you were stuck on a deserted island, which one of your teammates would you bring?
I’m going to go with my boy

. I think we’re both smart guys so we can figure out a way off that island.
10. What’s on your bucket list?
There are so many things I want to do, but they’re not that cool. I want to ski, I want to snowboard, skydive, ride a motorcycle. All that stuff I can’t do right now.
