Career Summary

A dynamic winger with pace and energy in his game, Brazilian winger Lucas Venuto was acquired by Whitecaps FC via transfer from FK Austria Wien, with the use of Targeted Allocation Money in January 2019. 

AUSTRIA 
2014-18:
Venuto transferred to Austria to play for 2. Liga club FC Liefering in 2014, quickly earning himself a loan to top-flight club SV Grödig, a move that was made permanent in the following year. After leading SV Grödig in scoring with seven goals and two assists in 20 starts and appearances for the first half of the 2015-16 Bundesliga season, Venuto transferred to Austria Wien in January 2016. In his three years with Die Veilchen, he would compile 66 starts and 87 appearances, scoring 14 goals including UEFA Europa League and Austrian Cup competition.   

GERMANY
2014:
Venuto moved to Germany to join his old team’s sister club, RB Leipzig, and featuring on the U-19 side.  

BRAZIL
2012-13:
Venuto made his professional debut in 2012 in his native country with Red Bull Brasil, playing two seasons in the Campeonato Paulista Série A2. 

ADDITIONAL NOTES 
Venuto and Yordy Reyna each spent time with SV Grödig in Austria and RB Leipzig in Germany, but their stays with the two clubs did not coincide with each other. He joins Felipe and PC as Brazilian natives on the Whitecaps FC roster.
